BOP300 -PX200- SAP BusinessObjects Planning Extended 5.3:Project Team Training
This course is designed to get your team up and running with Planning Extended as quickly as possible. This Course is for the team of users who will lead the implementation and provide general report, model, and user support to their local operations. The focus is on establishing a foundation of skills and knowledge so that these users are equipped to work with Business Objects Consultants to assess and analyze your business requirements, prototype your first business model, load data, and create your initial report templates.
Using Planning Extended Analyst is designed for users with little or no experience with Business Objects Planning Extended. This lesson establishes the core concepts required to begin working with Planning Extended through the simple and intuitive Web interface. Through a series of step-by-step demonstrations and hands-on exercises, you will learn how to open a report, "drill-down" on multidimensional data and manipulate your view of the data. Additionally, you will learn how to enter and annotate data in a report.
Report Building is a lesson designed for users that need to create and maintain report templates in Planning Extended. Using the Analyst Pro application, you will learn the skills required to create row, column and report templates. You will learn how to modify existing templates, take advantage of reporting features, apply formatting options, create variance columns and utilize "best practice" principles when creating report templates.
Model administration and data loading
The business model is the most critical component of your implementation as it represents your organization in Planning Extended. As such, Model Administration & Data Loading guides you through the process of maintaining and modifying a business model, and loading data into "scenarios." First, you will load a model from files and then add or edit dimensions for this model. Next, you will create and replicate scenarios to import and export data. Finally, you will learn how to consolidate loaded data with the business model that you created.
Using Excel Analyst
Planning Extended Excel Analyst is a web-enabled application that gives you the ability to access, display, analyze and create Planning Extended reports directly inside Microsoft Excel. In Using Excel Analyst you will learn how to navigate the Excel Analyst interface to create "grid-based" Planning reports within Excel, use Planning Extended functions in reports, integrate Excel functions into Excel Analyst reports, and insert Planning Extended functionality into existing Excel workbooks.
User Rights Overview is an introduction into how Planning Extended uses a flexible and object-oriented user rights structure to provides sophisticated levels of security. This module covers the rights required by the implementation team, the approach used to grant rights to Analyst web client users, and introduces the rights structure for Analyst Pro users.
